CPR

Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider.

The AHA’s BLS courses for healthcare providers and prehospital providers teach students how to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

BLS courses can be delivered in a classroom setting or through a blended eLearning experience, where the student completes an online course and then attends a skills practice and testing session with an AHA Instructor.

Heartsaver CPR/AED

AHA’s Heartsaver courses are for those with little or no medical training who need a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirement.

These courses can be delivered in a classroom setting or through a blended eLearning experience, where the student completes an online course and then attends a skills practice and testing session with an AHA Instructor.

Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

This course teaches basic first aid, CPR, and AED skills for children, and is ideal for child care workers who need to meet regulatory training requirements.

Hands-Only CPR/AED: Family and Friends CPR

AHA’s video-based, classroom Family & Friends® CPR Course teaches adult Hands-Only™ CPR, adult AED use, child CPR and AED use, and infant CPR. It also teaches how to relieve choking in an adult, child or infant.

The course offers training for those who want to learn CPR and do not require a course completion card.

Skills Sessions

Many OnlineAHA courses are Part 1 of a three part blended learning approach to complete ECC, CPR & First Aid training. A skills session is the in-person, hands-on portion of an AHA eLearning course and includes Parts 2 and 3 — skills practice and testing.
